How to Use the Nova Copilot

4 min read AI & Automation

The Nova Copilot is your natural-language command line for the entire platform. Open it from the AI icon in the top navigation bar, then ask questions or issue commands in plain English. Nova reads your live telemetry, answers in seconds, and can run remediations once you approve them.

Steps

1

Open the Copilot

Click the AI icon in the top navigation bar, available on every page. The Copilot opens as a side panel so you keep your current view in context.

2

Ask in plain English

Type a question or a command. Nova reads your live metrics, incidents, and logs to answer. Try things like:

show CPU on web-prod-01 for the last hour which services are degraded right now? summarize incident INC-2043 compare error rates before and after the last deploy
3

Run a safe remediation

Ask Nova to act, for example restart the api container on web-prod-02 or scale the checkout pool to 6. Nova drafts the exact action and shows it to you before anything runs.

4

Review what Nova did

Every Copilot answer and action is recorded in the AI Activity Timeline. Open it from the Workspace menu to see the full decision trail, including the data Nova read and the result of each action.

Tip:

On the Free plan the Copilot is read-only: it explains what it would do and prompts you to upgrade. On paid plans, actions above your autonomy threshold route to the Approval Queue for a human to confirm.
