How to Review Audit Logs

3 min read Workspace & Admin

Nova records every security-relevant event: logins, permission changes, integration edits, and AI actions. The audit log is where you investigate suspicious activity and produce evidence for compliance reviews.

Steps

1

Open Audit Logs

Go to Audit Logs (admin only).

2

Filter the trail

Narrow by user, event type, or date range to find what you need fast.

3

Inspect an event

Open any event to see who did it, what changed, when, and from what IP.

4

Export for compliance

Export the filtered range as evidence for SOC2 or HIPAA reviews.

5

Spot suspicious activity

Watch for patterns like repeated failed logins, off-hours permission changes, or unexpected integration edits.

Tip:

Combine the audit log with the AI Activity Timeline to review automated actions alongside human ones. Together they give you a complete record of everything that happened in your account.
