Workspaces & Tooling

A team's saved links, in one place,
because the Notion page is always out of date

Quick Links is the per-team bookmark workspace. Save links to dashboards, runbooks, internal tools, vendor portals, status pages. Tag them, group them, share with the team. The page replaces the team's "links spreadsheet" or "onboarding Notion" with something that lives where work happens.

What Gets Saved

Six kinds of links

Six default tag categories: dashboard, runbook, vendor portal, internal tool, doc, alert silencer. Custom tags supported. Each link has a name, URL, optional description, owner team, and last-clicked timestamp. Stale links (not clicked in 90 days) get a quiet "still relevant?" prompt so the workspace does not turn into archaeology.

  • Six default tags: dashboard, runbook, vendor, internal, doc, alert silencer, covers most operator bookmarks
  • Custom tags: add team-specific categories (e.g., "compliance", "stripe-only")
  • Stale link nudges: links unread for 90 days get a "still relevant?" prompt; archive or keep

Sharing

Team-shared by default

New links are visible to everyone on the saving engineer's team by default. Mark a link "private" to keep it personal. Mark it "org-wide" to share across teams. Most links stay team-default. The simplest possible permission model that still respects the rare cases where it matters.

  • Team-default visibility: new links auto-share with the saving engineer's team
  • Private opt-out: mark personal links private; not visible even to teammates
  • Org-wide opt-in: mark links org-wide for cross-team sharing; useful for canonical resources

Search & Autocomplete

Type the name, get the link

Quick Links is integrated with the platform's global search (the "/" hotkey). Typing "grafana" autocompletes saved links containing the word. Recent links bubble up first. The integration means saved links are accessible from anywhere on the platform without opening the Quick Links page itself.

  • Global "/" search: saved links appear in the platform-wide search overlay
  • Recency bias: recently-clicked links rank higher in autocomplete than dormant ones
  • No page-open required: the workspace becomes a usage path, not a destination

Onboarding

New engineers get the team's saved set

When a new engineer joins a team, they inherit the team's shared links automatically. The first day "what URLs do I need?" question is answered before they ask. Add the new engineer to the team in the directory; the links follow.

  • Auto-inherited on team join: team-shared links appear in the new engineer's workspace immediately
  • No manual onboarding doc: the workspace itself is the onboarding doc; nothing to keep up to date separately
  • Org-wide links auto-show: company-wide canonical links appear for everyone, regardless of team
