Reliability Engineering

A C-suite view of reliability and AI ops,
numbers your CFO and CTO both read

Executive Insights is the monthly view for leadership. Reliability score (composite of MTTR, SLO compliance, incident severity), AI ops productivity (incidents auto-resolved, time saved, runbook coverage), AI cost (spend, savings from caching/routing), and risk (open SLO debts, top recurring incident causes). One page, four leadership questions.

Reliability Score

One number from many

Reliability Score is a 0-100 composite of three signals: MTTR vs target (lower is better), SLO compliance (higher is better), and high-severity incident count (lower is better). The math is published so executives can read the formula. The score moves slowly so a single bad week does not crash it, and a single good week does not save it.

  • Three-signal composite: MTTR vs target + SLO compliance + sev-1/2 count, weighted 40/40/20
  • Smoothed: 30-day rolling so weekly noise does not move the score; trend lines tell the story
  • Published formula: the math is on the page, not a black box; executives trust numbers they understand

AI Ops Productivity

How much work the agents are doing

Productivity is the percent of incidents auto-resolved without paging a human, the estimated engineer-hours saved by agent actions, and runbook coverage (percent of common incident classes that have an agent ready). Showing this number alongside reliability proves the AI investment is paying off.

  • Auto-resolution rate: percent of incidents the fleet handled end-to-end without paging a human
  • Engineer-hours saved: estimate based on per-class historical MTTR before vs after agent coverage
  • Runbook coverage: percent of incident classes (last 12 months) that have a registered agent runbook

Cost View

AI spend and savings, side by side

AI cost shows monthly spend against the budget set in Cost Circuit Breaker, with attribution by agent, by tenant, and by model. Savings shows the engineer-hours saved value (priced at a rate you configure) minus the AI spend, so the net business value of the platform is one number leadership can trend.

  • Spend with attribution: who spent what, agent, tenant, model, top users, same data as Cost Circuit Breaker
  • Savings calculated: engineer-hours saved priced at your configured rate, minus AI spend = net value
  • CFO-friendly format: absolute dollars, percentages, and per-incident unit cost, three ways CFOs ask

For the board, signed and dated

One-click PDF export of the current snapshot, signed with the platform key and dated. The PDF is the artifact you share with the board or send to investors. The signature lets recipients verify the document was not edited in transit.

  • Signed PDF: platform-signed; recipients can verify the document was not edited
  • Dated and versioned: every export is a stable artifact; "the May snapshot" stays the May snapshot
  • No raw data leakage: PDF includes summary numbers and recommendations; no service names or PII unless toggled
